Looking for Gladiator Bot linux binary
« on: December 03, 2010, 02:23:17 PM »
Hello everyone,

I would like to run good old gladiator bot on linux. Eraser Ultra works with r1q2 (tested), but gladiator bot was far better I remember. Unfortunately I can't find the linux binaries anymore...

Does anyone of you still have the file gladq2096_linux-x86-glibc.tar.gz ? The old download links are broken.

It would be a real shame if the gladiator bot linux binaries would be lost forever?

Check this site, it's a little goldmine > http://www.angelfire.com/mt2/quakebots/
By the way there are tougher bots (TMG/3zb2/GSB) that navigate way better than gladiator.

And, that site even had a link to Qudos' older quakedev.com work, including *plenty* Q1/Q2 linux binaries, including the one you're looking for.
But it's more fun to let you find it yourself so no direct link ;)  Hint - just nose around in his /quake2/mods/ dir.

Hello Acer,

thank you very much for the great links. I found the required linux binaries for running gladiator bot. Works perfectly - even in r1q2!!

Thank You!

DM server is fucked. 2 point blank rockets from spawn and lava damage and player survived? WTF?" Also someone has fucked with the spawn points, every single time no matter how big the map you spawn right in front of the person who killed you last
