if its supposed to be kinda an admin joke punishment server so they can stuff goto hell to a player...

why did quadz use such an entertaining map

actually played a bit on it with 00 lol its kinda funny

The map was custom made for the purpose.  There used to be another map there,  was an oval of a cave,  with lava, slime and LOTS of explosions going on everywhere.

It is very entertaining,  to do a bunch of goto's and try and get someone to say 'goto hell'

Someone says 'goto mutant'   *Poof*

I say 'goto store'    'goto bed'   'goto bathroom'

some wiseguy usually adds 'goto hell'  *Poof*

I smile

It's like getting someone to type 'd2' in console, but not as evil.


I had it in my mind to do a 64 player hell type map, give people who goto hell something to explore.
 short on time and ability but I might make it happen someday

d2 pulls up an easter egg menu,  something the coders tossed in for fun.  Check it out,  like fader said, in the middle of a game.
Only works if you are on the scoreboard.

i think its pretty fun lots and lots of lava suicides and some times you hate the damn little sinky platforms... but its definitely a playable map with small amount of people lol

the actual hell map with the explosions is kinda stupid though :/

and something like a LAAAARGE maze with a hell from doom 3 kinda theme that you could run around for hours would be pretty sweet put lots of easter eggs and shit into it lol thatd be badass... could even actually make it a maze if no one would actually play deathmatch on it have a start point and an end point or even a few end points if you want it to be super complicated and have repeat value.... though i could see a map as large as im thinking crippling some peoples computers lol

Ugh...I hate that map but it would be pretty funny to see this happen. We need more maps for hell, for sure.

lol a rotation of hell themed maps would be kinda kewl wouldnt have to be the best maps, but some entertaining maps would be great lol... i was hvaing fun trying to stay outa the lava and still get kills on the current one XD

Yep.

It's pretty fun playing on that hell server. Most of the time, I notice that it's a battle of not losing frags to the lava than to your opponents.
