in my opinion........... I have to say that spawn rape is not gay at all, whatsoever. Isn't the "better" player the person who gets the best of you more times than not, whether it's spawn rape or not? Yes, without a doubt. People can make an excuse like 'well I wasn't sitting at the spawn pad like him' or 'I wasn't trying' but that's all your fault, not the person who is successfully abusing some kind of advantage. If you are to actually take ffa railz seriously(I don't, but it's apparent that several do around here with the talk/hype/screenshots and stuff relating), then you're going to spawn rape on maps that present the opportunity. So, people are kind of mislabeling the spawn raping thing here, because it has to be a significant component of your game if you play on the "top level in railz ffa". What I'm saying is that spawn raping isn't the problem, it's that you don't like that aspect of railz ffa.

To my knowledge most people don't take the railz server that seriously though.

absolute rubbish and nonsense, because 99% of the time you get these spawn camping asses 1 on 1 they are absolutely useless, and are proven to have no genuin skill at all. Would have thought u would know better haunted. i have never had to spawn rape for a win in ffa, i refuse to. yes i may hit someone off the pad if the spawn in front of me on the way past, but to stand in front of a pad or crouch in front of a pad the whole game takes no skill. yes u will spam a win but overall people who do that shit haven't got great skill

uhhh... I really thought I was clear with what I said. I guess I'll repeat though: I am referring to ffa railz in my post and how you, and others, have complained about spawn camping in this mod.

This means that:

1) it doesn't matter that you think "spawn camping asses are absolutely useless in 1 on 1" nor does it matter that they are "proven to have no genuine skill at all"..... being that it isn't the mod I'm referring to.

2) I do "know better", it is you that does not. (also it is your post that is "absolute nonsense/rubbish", etc.)

3) It is your choice to not spawn rape for a win in ffa, therefore it is your fault for not abusing an advantage/component that is part of playing 'FFA railz' competitively.

4) It does not matter if someone if someone is to "stand in front of a pad or crouch in front of a pad for the whole game" or whether or not you think that it "takes no skill".

Sorry, but just because spawn camping is easy to do, lame, or whatever else you may think--it's not the person's fault for doing it. If anyone is to blame, it is yourself being that you refuse to do it yourself. He is getting kills the easiest and most risk-free way possible. Talking down at him for this, or getting mad at someone for this, just makes you look bad in my eyes. The sentence in bold is the bread and butter of competitive play in almost everything. The problem is, railz ffa isn't a competitive mod. The randomized mod itself enables the lame stuff you speak of.

As stated previously: seemingly some of you take railz ffa rather seriously though. If you knowingly take a non-competitive mod seriously, then you have very little ground to stand on when complaining about another player's tactics. Even if someone happens to have much more opportunities for easy spawn kills than you do, it's just a randomized mod and the whole cheap spawn kill complaints are laughable.

I see players count quad, armors and powerups in ffa games even though there's no clock. Then I think to myself, why I don't I do the same since they're doing it to gain a distinct advantage.

It doesn't matter if a tactic may seem cheap, because it's easy to employ but difficult to beat. As long as it's not game-breaking, then you should use it. It's about giving yourself the advantage and your opponent none. That's the smartest and easiest way to win.

Also, you should remember that the way you like to play the game, might not be the way others like to.

If the player spawn camps and repeatedly beats the top tier tdm player AT FFA RAILS, and the top tier tdm player CANNOT beat that person in the FFA RAILZ mod, then yes, that is the point he was making, that the spawn camper is better than the top tier tdm player in that specific mod.  It doesn't make him a better over all player, but within that mod.  Not that hard to comprehend.

spawn camping = noob shit only done in ffa where an idiot crouches behind a spawn pad and thats it... and most of the time it wont result in a win unless a bunch of little fags decide to all camp dif spawns keeping the better players from having a chance to get kills

spawn camping is frowned apon for a lot of reasons :/ A. it makes the game less fun for the spawn camper hence most people dont even see why idiots do it... and B. it makes the game less fun for everyone else because once one idiot starts spawn camping more do and then you end up kinda at a point where you cant respawn... and while that may cause the better player to lose, its not about the win or loss with this, its about how fucking retarded it is and how it ruins everyones fun INCLUDING the person doing it...

ill spawn rape, or frequent an area with lots of spawns, and ill aim at a spawn near by when no one is around... these are good things to keep in mind to get better at a basic mod like railz, but you will never catch me crouching behind a spawn because it is no fun, i play railz to have fun

and you're wrong anyway being that I've played hundreds and hundreds of games on the dm server and honestly, without a doubt, have never been beaten badly during my entire experience on it. I'm also not a 'top' tier player.

its not that i didnt wanna play a bunch of noobs... its just noobs have been crowding the railz server lately and they do really stupid shit :/ actually annoyed with railz ffa lately, i still play just as always on irtdm but on railz i end up flopping cause of the mass noob stupid shit... they always do stuff like run right into you and shit that annoys me cause i cant move... and yeah -.- i did say you won, and that did prove my point... more noobs on a server means higher skilled players cant play to their potential cause of little cock blocking fucks and a lower skilled player can pull out a win

and youd be surprised on how i talk about peoples skill levels some times if some one talks to me or thinks they are better than me... yeah i will degrade them, but if its a situation other than that, ill usually say some people are pretty good or somethin... i talk shit on a ton of irtdm regulars some times, but i will still say most of them are pretty good railers.... take goat for example, hes a really good railer... ill still call him a fucking noob because he talks shit on me when i beat him, but after the fact i have no problem saying hes a good railer
