this is very true, ive been talking with a few admins of some european leagues such as EDL(#edl on quakenet @ http://q2scene.net/edl) & European Quake2 League(#euroq2l on quakenet @ http://q2scene.net/euroq2l), Gravgon and basically were just testing the waters to see if there are enough players/participates out there but mainly supporters! i believe he said that there are 1 or 2 countries that have their teams made up already (i could be wrong).
like i said, this is just an idea as of now... as i find out more information ill be sure to post it here. it could be days or a couple weeks because i believe there are a couple european tournaments in progress............ also you can find information at the ndml site of http://q2scene.net/ndml <-is the site for this world wide tournament

NDML has always been around! USA just hasn't been involved in about 4-5 years. But yeah I saw gravgon talking about it just the other day. I'll be an alternate if you need me, but hopefully you can get a REALLY strong 3 to back ya up.

after talking with biah^ and wision the old school head admin Gravgon is not willing to give up his rank "Admin" of the NDML to anyone and does not want to start the NDML himself. so i dont know whats going to happen at this point but ill keep it posted here, also i spoke with DaHanG who is confident he can get a few good players for the USA team to compete.

after bugging Gravgon for an extended period of time hes agreed to admin the NDML

, along with some helpers. signups for the NDML will be either today or tomorrow or so im led to believe and as of right now i only have 2 players listed for the USA team. but not to worry because the USA will have a team!!

That doesn't matter they're still the strongest team players in NA if you can get them to play. I'm sure I'm missing a couple though : ).

nah... ive watched em in some teams and 1v1s when they get on... might just be bad teams in pubs, but they seemed very rusty not living up to reputations

Sounds exciting. I remember hearing biah bring up the idea, but I didn't think anything would happen at the time. Maybe Canada can get a team going too? Would be fun to watch.

canada has enough players in q2 to form a team?

3.3 PLAYERS

3.3.1 A player can be a member of his national team following those conditions:
- He has been selected by the team Captain
- He must be born in the country OR have the nationality of this country OR live in this country.
3.3.2 One of those 3 conditions is enough to be member of a national team.
