Console text issue

I resized my video mode to this resolutin 1920x1080 (my desktop resolution) adding this commands to my config:
set vid_forcewidth "1920"
set vid_forceheight "1080"

everything is fine, but when someone talks, the text appears half cutted, and i can only read it by opening the console.

Is there anything i can do to pull down the text or something?

whats your gl_hudscale set to? (i believe thats the cmd, i could be wrong though)

it is set to "1". I tried 2 and 3 but it looks horrible

it works fine with  gl_hudscale "2" but the letters are too big.

crt or lcd monitor? if its crt your alignment could be off... stupid old problem

other than that... you could be trying to run a 16x10 res on a 16x9 screen or something weird like that

i reduced game resolution to 1400x1050 and now everything is fine.

That was what mine did,  monitor has an auto adjust button that fixed it...
