Cfg changing randomly

Well i have downloads turned off for everything but maps and textures... using r1q2, they are turned off in my autoexec.cfg

but every so often when im on the railz server it will randomly turn on, and when the map switches i have to download tons of retarded skins and models and shit :/

i go into the rails folder, delete the players folder, delete the config, fixes itself, but it happens again

doesnt happen often but i dont think it should be happening at all, what am i overlooking?

I think it mainly has to do with some servers (I think it is all the assassin's server group) stuffing the command "allow_download 1; allow_download_maps 1; allow_download_models 1; allow_download_textures 1; allow_download_players 1". That would force your client to turn on all downloads, and they stay on even when you leave the server.

Personally, I filter the svc_stufftext commands to drop annoying commands like that.

Really?  That's weird.  If we're sure that's what's happening, I'll let them know.  I doubt they're doing it on purpose, although I guess it's possible somebody thought it would be 'helpful'.

I did enjoy a cpl models I wouldn't have otherwise seen. Like the penguin model from Penguinander. That model is very cool. I had a hard time playing against it  due to fits of laughter everytime I heard mek mek mek sound and when the penguin model waddled. Hillarious and well done.

indeed the Assassins servers were executing a connect command that has now been removed.
sorry for the inconvenience and trouble it might have caused...
