i dont see how a laptop is a disadvantage :/ ive played on a laptop, the keyboards can be pretty nice once you take like an hour or two to adjust, plug a mouse in and theres no problem there, and even a 15.6in screen isnt all that bad considering its gonna be closer since the keyboard is attached...

to top that off, you can plug a different keyboard and monitor in too... there is really no reason to complain unless your playing on a fucking netbook or somethin with like a 10in screen and a tiny keyboard that runs slow as hell

well the keyboards arent bad, just take a little getting used to, and if you have a problem... plug a different keyboard in

the touchepad is not the way to game and you should be plugging your normal mouse in anyway

and the screen is just fine, its a screen lol and if you have a problem with that, just hook it up to a monitor

so movement shouldnt be a problem if your keyboard and mouse are no different than your desktop just being plugged in, aim should be no different with the same mouse, and headgame should be no different because laptops dont magically make you retarded....

sure if you dont actually take 20 seconds to make the laptop playable it might suck, but its not like its a huge disadvantage once you plug a mouse in

tbh, i thought he was really, REALLY bad for a few days when he first showed up, playing pick-ups and stuff. Then I dueled him on dm1 and i changed my mind.

some people just dont do as good in teams team play =/= 1v1 play

and on top of that... people tend to try less in team games from what ive seen

So glad that there's someone around like vae victis to add input on dialogue between playboy and I, in regard to teamplay not being the same thing as duel, and how people tend to try less in teams. we would be totally lost without this explanation.

nope, never said anything of the sort, but for 1v1 if you are gonna play you are gonna play with a purpose since its only you vs some one else, screwing around like an idiot wont even really work unless you really have fun just running into rockets and dying repeatedly... but in team games and ffa people will play looser and get away with a lot more stupid shit so they tend to not try as hard and just play more casual, though if you are playing you are still playing to win with the whole point of getting more kills, and if your acting like a fool and getting owned thats your own damn fault and saying "i wasnt trying" isnt much of a viable excuse

You prove time and time again you're incapeable of taking the game for exactly what it is, a fucking game....you put so much emotion into being a total dickhead that noone, even the only person who didn't think you were a fucking loser, has any sympathy or even common kindness for you and why should they?  You have no empathy for them so why should they waste their fucking time caring when you care enough for everyone....and that's the saddest fucking part of it all, this is your social life....women, fun, communication, it all happens here for you and that's really a crying fucking shame.

Vae has all of us figured out.  He knows why we play, how we feel, and all of our reactions to any situation. 

We all need to realize, we are in the presence of greatness.  We should be honored to have someone like Vae here to share his knowledge.

The really SAD part is, he will actually think this is real

lol it never fails to make me laugh when you guys think this is my entire social life

i do play quake for enjoyment, i just enjoy different things about it than you do, i enjoy the competitive nature about it, its not like its extremely fun just to mindlessly frag... it can be entertaining at times, but i find it boring often, and thats one reason i think ffa is boring as hell :/ i prefer 1v1 because the competition is better, its either win or lose, you have to use strategy, you have to use positioning, you have to be good at control, you have to be faster than your opponent, just a bunch of things that make it more enjoyable for me...
