For the word "negro" and it's derivatives, we have a national history of the word. First there was slavery, then there was segregation. The terms were legally used in forms of racial discrimination. The words have much worse meaning. I think this is waning, but it's factually supported to treat the term differently than others.

Except the same thing was done with all non-whites, so chink, sand cricket, jap, etc. are no different then stereotypical ethnic ghetto-style individual, one was just more populated in this country.  It always point towards blacks but anyone who wasn't white was fair game.  It's like anything else politically "correct": you focus on one specific issue and not the general topic at hand.  IE it's ok to discriminate cases where a "minority" would get better treatment (according to the law), someone gets special rights they wouldn't get under natural/normal circumstances to make them "equal", etc.

I liked the one about the Armageddon bill, I read that yesterday.    Funny thing is, unless they spent a fortune on stuff to get ready for what they want, it wouldn't matter.  If the fed went down the tubes there's nothing stopping the states from doing that anyway.  However, the detractors are just as messed up: the reserves are all in USD, if the fed went down then those would be worthless to other states and it's people.  They've got good resources in the state though, unlike other states that have gone to mostly a virtual or entertainment economy, they're completely screwed if they get separated from the union.  :p

Maybe you forget about all the asian immigrants in the late 1800's that worked themselves literally to death building our railroads which was the #1 reason we were able to grow a flourishing economy which probably led to us becoming a world superpower after World War II even in spite of the Great Depression. It was basically slavery without the need for chains and bullwhips. They were treated every bit as poorly as blacks. Maybe you also forget about the millions of Japanese Americans and other asian immigrants who were placed in internment camps during World War II. Maybe they weren't all systematically executed in gas chambers, but many did die from sicknesses that spread throughout the camps/prisons. At that time, we weren't sticking tons of blacks in prison camps for just being black.

I think you missed that part. I did a quick search and only came across the legal term "Mongolians" being used in Jim Crow style laws against marrying Asian people. I believe the derogatory term during the WWII era was "jap".

You can put whatever personal value that you want on the word. That's all I'm suggesting. However, I'm quite surprised that of all people, you'd step up and be the PC douche in the group.

Not at all. I think everyone should say stereotypical ethnic ghetto-style individual as much as they want. That's what my issue is. If you're gonna censor yourself using one racial slur, why not censor them all. It's incongruency. Sick and tired of everyone tiptoeing around because no one wants to offend the blacks, meanwhile no one else gets the same consideration.
