virus detected in rails folder

i ran a malware scan just then and apparently i have a wordswap.1458 virus in rails/env/sky4lf.pcx  anyone know much about this?

I scanned my sky4lf.pcx and it came up clean.

I believe he's using Avira. I tried Avira for about 2 minutes and deleted it because it said every other file was a virus.

true i am using avira but avira is not a malware scanner, it's a virus scanner. I used stopzilla to do a malware scan

PCX files aren't executable.. either it's a renamed executable file or (more likely) your anti virus sucks!

I've always wondered about that. My newsgroup periodically gets flooded with virii "disguised" as .avi files or .scr files. Sometimes I imagine they've tried .jpg

The thing is if you doulble click an "avi" file it will attempt to open with a relevant program like Media player or whatever. And it won't work. So double clicking a pcx file will invoke some graphics program. Thus defeating the attempt to use a disguised .exe file. So what's the point of a re-name?
