That's all I've ever claimed to be, and I've repeatedly made it known that I do not want to be a TS admin and that I don't feel that I could follow the guidelines that they are required to follow. I prefer to be able to ban fucktards for nothing more than being fucktards. (call it the Sheepfucker rule if you will)

Look, officer cheaterpolice, if people (including us, you idiot) use hacks or cheats, on tastyspleen, deserve to get forced ac or banned, that will happen.
This is done by the great admins and moderators of TS.

Who do you think clues them in on who is cheating? The cheat fairy?

Are you really so fucking stupid that you don't understand that the volunteer admins on TS don't have all the time in the world to chase down aliasing cheating little newbies every day, like some of your former clan members?

I regularly share any info I have with them on the development of new cheats and the behavior patterns and occasional AC catches that I see for people who don't seem to be entirely legit.

I havent failed a check since the cheaterpolice told me i had bad files, we call them bad files because they COULD POSSIBLY be something you shouldn't have, doesnt make you a hacker, you fucking tard, makes you someone without knowledge of pakfiles just trying to make his quake look cool. <--- which was obviously me a couple of months ago.

Those aren't hits from .pak files. Those are bad renderer checks from a guy who hangs out with a clan that has known wallhackers on their server almost every day, and which is lead by an admitted wallhacker.
Some of them are hits on TS but one is a bad check from Playground.ru, which is a server where Razor commonly tests out his hax because nobody knows of him there.

It's kind of funny that you'd go to some server you never play on, and where nobody in NA would see the kick, and then fuck with your renderer settings, one time. To me that looks like someone testing something that they don't want anyone to see if it fails.

Because I don't trust you, I'm not willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that those were repeated instances of false positives or flubbed attempts to change your renderer to something else (no reason to do this anyway)

That shit actually does come from a pak, which used to block me from irtdm, you told me i should get rid of them, i told you it was just my high res pak, downloaded FROM TASTYSPLEEN, after i got sick of not being able to play on irtdm, i got rid of them, and never used them again

If you are 100% sure its not possible to get unknown-renderer message from a pak, there is ONE more possibility, which is : i used to use software, because i had a broken vid card, my quake wouldnt start anymore, so i started fucking with the vid_ref, by the help of your own clanmember Realistic, he helped me target quake2 in a way that it would actually launch in software, some vid_ref command @ options/target i can't really remember..
I'll see if i still have the pak and upload it, but only to prove your dumb ass wrong.

Those kicks are for changing settings in your client in an attempt to use an unknown and/or unapproved renderer .dll
Someone who was attempting to use a previously unknown wallhack would do the exact same thing, and get the exact same kick message.


Approved renderers include the stock ref_soft.dll, ref_gl.dll and r1ch's ref_r1gl.dll. There is no reason to use anything other than those three, and if your system can handle it, there's pretty much no reason not to use ref_r1gl all the time.

If you were using software mode, you should have been using the stock ref_soft.dll that came with q2, and the kicks wouldn't have happened because that renderer is not "unknown".

The renderer .dll resides in the quake2 folder, and not baseq2 or a mod folder. No amount of paks will change the location at which the client will look for the renderer.

Renderers and other .dll files don't go in paks. They go in the quake2 folder with your client executable.

If it was an unchanged copy of the stock ref_soft.dll, you would not have 11 kicks spread over a 4 month period for using it.

That would appear to be the problem.

If you run the r1q2 updater, it should download the latest ref_r1gl.dll for you.  (Assuming you are using r1gl... if not, what is your vid_ref set to?)

There you go idiot, u just gave me another theory that it probably DID come from the pak file, cuz all i had to do to get into irtdm was get my pak out of my baseq2.
I was used to my pak, high res, and sounds, so whenever i went to other servers i put the pakfile back in my baseq2..
After a while i chose not use it anymore, cuz i was tired of constantly having to go in my baseq2 just to get a pak out..

The only files you aren't allowed to use on IRTDM that would be in your pak files, are non-stock male/female player models (.md2 and .md3), nonstock versions of the step sounds and the railgun hum, and non-stock in-hand weapon models.

You'll also get kicked if you remove any of these resources from your game folders and don't have at least one copy that's being loaded.

All of those files can easily give a player an advantage and none of them can be verified to not be hacks from my end, so I don't give a shit about what you're used to. If you use all of 5 stock sounds and all stock models then you can get in.
(well you can't but someone else could   ) If you don't you'll get kicked. These kicks are not logged on the ac shame site because they are entirely up to the admin of the server in question. They are not the same thing as your repeated renderer violations.

Textures (high res or not) and skins are the most commonly changed files in Q2, and they are not checked.
If you're too stupid to edit the models and sounds out of a .pak file, that's not my fault. It's also something I addressed (because I know some people are just that stupid) by putting up a .pak on the |iR| website that anyone running into the file check kicks can download and put in their tourney folder to fix the problem in seconds with no technical knowledge beyond knowing how to download a file and move it to a folder. A cool side effect of the IRTDM servers still running the OSP tourney mod is that if you put that pak in your "tourney" folder it will ONLY change your setup for OSP servers like IRTDM, and since all of Tastyspleen's TDM servers are running OpenTDM you'd be able to use your nonstock models and sounds on them without doing anything at all.

I've also repeatedly shown anyone who asked me, exactly how to edit their .pak files, and I've linked uncounted Q2 players to the very utility they need to accomplish this feat.

The... page... says... "UNKNOWN RENDERER". That specifies that the (***allegedly***) offending file is the video DLL, a file which cannot be used in a pak file under normal circumstances because of it's directory placement. That file is usually found in the Quake2 folder, not the baseq2 folder or anything further. If your story is "It was a weird pak and was not intentional", surely you can see why someone might be skeptical. I'm pretty skeptical of the story myself. I have a huge collection of paks I've harvested from all over the web. I've tested each and every single one of them on Tastyspleen servers while using AC. Only one caused me to be kicked for spiked grenade launcher projectile models, probably the same pak that Realistic used to have for download on his TS page. It's since been removed. I've also made tons of paks. I've made paks designed to work with 3.20 specifically, and paks designed for use with R1Q2+r1GL. I have NEVER EVER encountered a problem where any item I could possibly edit or place in a pak file would cause AC to report an "unknown renderer".

I'm not trying to jump your shit here. If you've never been demoed using hacks against people and you're currently using AC 100% of the time (especially if its of your own volition), then I can't complain at all. But I would like to see this argument settled if it's at all possible. The only way I see that happening is by you uploading or linking to the pak which you claim caused this false report. I'm curious to find out how a pak could be reported in that way.
