ok after sitting on tastyspleen irc channel listening to femy voice his concern over the fact elysium looks sus i decided to go into DM and watch elysium is spectator mode. I recorded these 2 demos and i must say the only corner shots he got off was 1. on dm4 right at the end when he hits perky heading for the hyperblaster, i couldn't make out a sound que so it may have looked suspect to someone

2. next map he made a shot when he was at 16 frags (i think) and he is down at the chain gun and he goes to the lift before any sound was made and took a guy out. Now i am not saying he walls, because he uses anti cheat, so if he was he would be kicked. he does however fail 1 file check which is a railgun hum file. I don't know what this file does, i have heard some say it makes the rail hum so you can hear if someone has the rail comming around the corner, but i don't know if thats true or not. And on that note i have noticed that when absinth plays, he has the same failed file checks with different weapons and i have watched him too and seems to make a lot of corner shot predictions without any sound ques.

railgun hum doesnt always mean it makes it louder, ive had one that makes it sound like ql's, i even had one that played a song. and it really didnt give me much of an advantage. and just because you dont hear a sound queue doesnt mean the other person didnt aswell. i personally just think he has skill, knows the maps, knows where people go for idk. but if railgun hum was unfair itd be banned.

I checked the demos out. Didn't seem like anything looked odd really. He knows the game, knows the maps, knows where to expect to find people, knows the sounds, knows when and where to look and is a really good player.

Elysium is a top FFA player, no cheats detected, and these are really low end demos of his play. Interesting to watch though!

Elysium is an impressive top-notch ffa player no doubt. Kind of weird anyone would even suspect him of walling being that sound knowledge is basically one of his weak points, i'd say.

There is absolutely no doubt in mind my this guy is an excellent FFA player. I originally thought he was just a quad timer nob but have seen him tear it up just as well without it.

Definately nothing dodgy going on here.

Too late to fire up the game and watch, but I'm pretty sure he's legit

Tons of time in play where I would fire a rocket somewhere, or even a corner rail, and take someone out.
No sound clue, nothing to hint at it whatsoever.

Think to myself 'man, I hope no one was watching that. I couldn't even explain how I knew to fire there'

Might be because I dont play at night anymore, but I think it's been over a year since I got to play with him.
(other than just seeing him earlier this weekend) Good to see him around

you dont need to hear a sound or anything to fire a prediction shot, and some times you get lucky with prediction shots

I also don't know of any other players in the game that I've known longer.

He, emp, and myself used to be the admins on kansas if any of you guys remember that server.

I've seen games even back then where he finishes the entire maps in 1 min.

EDIT: BTW, I joined this forum in 2004. Why does it still say newbie under my name? It's gay to have forum status based on post counts..

I didn't see anything too crazy from ely, other than how he normally plays.
Kinda boring to watch him stand there and plink people on the spawnpad with an rg or spam BFG in the most active areas to keep up his FPH thrill or w/e leads a player to gay people constantly like that..

In demo 2 there is a moment that shows someone who's probably using hax tho:

He hasn't used AC since then, and for some reason I doubt that:

a: he removed the known spiked models from his game folders before he switched back to a known hacked client that wont report those spiked models

b: he had any reason to change his alias and client at the same time, other than the AC kicks

c: if he used AC now those wouldn't keep popping up.

He's played as "stfuakma" for the past few months, and possibly one other alias.

I don't understand your compliant. That is the game, and you can always do the same thing back. Spawn raping is a skill in itself, and it's a large part of the fun in my opinion. As for the BFG, are you saying he shoudn't use good tactics? If there is a problem specifically, the game should be changed, but that just seems like a good tactic. The other option would probably be to take that gun out of the map/game.
