I used to ride crotch rockets in high school. I turned one over doing 5mph turning on to another street when I hit a few small pebbles near a curb. Barely gassed it and it shot out from under me. I rolled from one curb to the other. I was wearing shorts and a short sleeved t-shirt. My knees and elbows looked like raw hamburger meat. You could see the exposed bone on my left elbow. That shit cured me from riding ricers ever again.

I'm just saying, it's really easy to lay those things over, especially when you're young and inexperienced. It's not worth dying over. You never know what will be around a corner. I guarantee you aren't experienced enough to NOT lock the brakes up when you see some shit you probably can't avoid hitting. My dad was probably 55 years old last time he was being stupid like that and ended up taking his Kawasaki Concourse off the side of a mountain somewhere on the Dragon's Tail because some asshole in a truck crossed the line coming the other way around a corner. He was damn lucky. He rode all the way home with a broken collar bone. Seriously, do the speed limit and live longer. Even 35 years of riding experience can't compensate for what some other dumbass on the road may do.

Fastest I ever went on 2 wheels was 200+mph going northbound on I-75 through Dalton, GA when I was 16. Was riding a Katana 1100 with nitrous. My buddy was on his Ninja, also fitted with nitrous. Everything becomes a blur at that speed. That was when I was 16 though, I wouldn't dare do some crazy shit like that these days no matter how much you paid me. Scared the shit out of me. It was a good thing we decided to haul it down to the speed limit at the moment we did because there were two Georgia State Patrol cars parked on the shoulder with their radar guns aimed out the window. I know we could've outrun them easily, but I'm glad we didn't have to. I used to go "stupid fast" on that thing all the time, sometimes without a helmet, and I believe that wasn't too long after they made helmets a law in GA. After all the stupid shit I used to do on it and speeds 2 and 3 times over the limit, I ended up laying it over only doing 5mph. Can you say "wake up call"?
