wtf is this error

i use xfire and i went to connect to railz it gave me this error message. And i also note it says i am not using anti cheat anymore but i have it loaded and was ok about an hour before this happened?

Basically if a process accesses memory outside of where it should it crashes, so sometimes you have to run things in different processes, etc.  And I was wondering the context here.

It appears that xfire has injected its DLL into R1Q2's process.  This is sometimes done to monitor or filter events occurring in the target process.  Not sure xfire's specific reason.

But yes, the c0000005 error (access violation) indicates the xfire code running inside the r1q2 process, was, shall we say, apprehended for touching memory inappropriately.

still doesn't clear things up for me, but anyways problem seems to have fixed itself. xfire running smoothly, anticheat running and best of all my ping seems to be back steady again

xfire updates automatically, while u have the program running that is. gotta love those live program updates when you're in the middle of a game.

It could be to support the variety of in-game services that xfire provides, including friends updates/chat, video and image capture and live broadcasting.

I remember a while back when xfire would cause errors with r1q2/ac because it hooks into the opengl to display these in-game windows.
