well i have a problem:
i cant use anticheat cause i have windows 98 (very old pc) so i asked an admin to make me in the exeption list so i can participate but he said that their is no exeption list ,the only exeption is for wallfy 
so i have been excluded from the cup for that reason
so what i have to do ?
N.B: i cant install win 2000 or xp my pc is realy old

I can't help, since I'm not running the tourney.

I suppose, if I were, I might ask the other players whether they would allow the exception in your case.

Out of curiosity, what are the specs of your system?

I was running NT 4.0 in 1997, before Q2 was released.  And I'm pretty certain Windows 2000 would have run on that old hardware as well.

This was buried at the bottom of an e-mail I got for signing up.

.:IMPORTANT:.
Every player MUST complete both steps during a match or you will get penalized.
-> a complete, full match demo <-
-> end screenshot showing final scores <-
At the end of every match, both your screenshon and demo will be sent
to an admin which will categorize and save for further(if needed) review and
interpretation.  Afterwords your multimedia will get uploaded to the Quake
2 community for entertainment purposes.

Everyone must demo themselves and provide a screen shot. Not that I have any chance of winning, but I would have been penalized for this had I not reread fine print.

What's the cvar for taking a screen shot? I use to use the old print screen-cut and paste, but it doesn't work for some reason after I switched to Win7.

Wow, quite a trip down memory lane.

Win2k will run on that CPU, although 64 MB RAM was recommended for the OS.  Some folks did report installing it on an even lesser CPU (Pentium 120) with only 48 MB RAM, and said it ran OK.  (But I doubt they ran many programs at once. )
