who wouldnt want the 'best' player in the world playing? You are fucking stupid. This tournament wouldnt stimulate anything, people will go right back to quakelive after the tourney. There is no competition in the tournament, you said yourself naymlis will win 100%. I'd rather have people like purri play than people like you, thats for god damn sure.

some people will play q2 more, and this opens a lot of doors for more competitions in NA... thats the whole fucking point behind having it in the first place

i can see a point behind wanting PURRI to play... best player in the world brings in some publicity... but then our NA players dont get any spot light, and people think quake2 in NA is dead or just a bunch of noobs >_>

id rather have NA players play in a fucking NA cup... silent gamers will most likely hold another sgcup and perhaps more down the line... and if more and more euros start playing, LESS AND LESS NA PLAYERS CAN PLAY and it will do the fucking opposite of what the intentions were for having the cup... it will make it harder and harder for any NA competition to actually happen

i fucking hate euros >_> the only reason they are fucking playing in this cup is because they want to be the center of attention in fucking everything

Maybe it was the tournament organizers intentions to spark some a NA competition, but I find that idea hard to believe and laughable. If this was NA event only, they wouldn't have allowed the Greece or Portugal player to enter the tournament.

Purri is gonna have a 100 ping. Prolly wont matter tho, if you listen to guys like arch (which no one should).

What if a NA player wins, that would sure get some Pub. I think its stupid to keep anyone out.
They are coming to play at a NA site which will make it at least a little bit harder for them.

I should signup, if I played Purri, I would have to record for the first time ever

yeah.. ignore vae's post as a rule and you'll be better off. I think it would be fun to play a tournament set with purri, not too many americans get the chance.
