the other day I pinged around 700. I think its not a TS server probs. Its one of the routes.

I have a feeling high ping is going to be around a long time. ISPs have to pay for bandwidth. The wider band the connection the more they pay their peers for the connection. Then there's the traffic fees for the bandwidth transmitted. With the economy the way it is around the world, I expect the peers are cutting costs by reducing the bandwidth of their interconnections. As retail subscribers decline, (it's kinda hard to keep your wideband connection when your house is foreclosed), the ISPs will cut back on their peer connections to reduce their peer bandwidth to follow the declining demand. This will reduce the peak to average capacity ratio and make prime-time a higher ping environment. There is also the fact that everyone is reducing staff. Problems take longer to fix due to the lower staffing.

i usually notice that whenever i havent payed my isp bills for 3 months my ping goes up.
