over the past few days my ping has been around 260 when its normally between 210-220 and i am getting alot more lag than usual. nothing has changed with my isp. anyone else experiencing such problems?

lol routing change most likely... honestly, saying something on the forums will do you no good, when i did that everyone told me to quit bitching and deal with it, basically just telling me shit happens... guess it is true though :/ shit does happen, routing does change, just play with it and if there is a problem it will be fixed eventually

these pics were taken today. pinging constantly at 500 or more. 1 is in game and the other is a shot of the pings on xfire

The fact that your pings are high while other players are low should tell you it's the path between you and the server, not the server itself. There is nothing that can be done on the server side for this. Internet traffic is highly variable. The futher you are from the server (hops) the more variable it will be. There is no use in bitching at your ISP, they will likely be aware of the reasons for traffic congestion along their routes anyway and they can't/won't do anything for individual users unless it's a bad device somewhere on the subscriber end.

thats all well and good but there have been numerous other people saying their ping is higher and have been experiencing more lag and choppiness on the servers

ive been getting some really bad choppiness :/ a lot more dropped connections where i freeze for anywhere from a second to 5 seconds... and a lot of just random glitches where it acts like i just froze and its trying to catch up with all the movement commands i sent it but i check my netgraph and its fine, or i can check my netgraph and noticed ive been having TONS of small spikes up to about 100ms then back down to 60ms... i believe the servers might need a restart, but i dont think it could be the cause of your ping going up 50ms, i think you just have a bad route right now :/ just play and wait it out

0 means they're dead. Even if you were playing on the server box itself, you would probably have a ping higher than 3.
