as long as AC doesn't say anything is modified i'm sure you'll be fine. stock q2 isn't too bad anyway.

I don't think many people know how to play that map, so it will be interesting to watch.

barton that's why you have map bans to see which is remaining to play(not sure how we're picking maps.. didn't read the rules yet)..I think there should be 7 maps to choose from. would going into irc and talking to them do any good?

perhaps.... still 2 weeks until it starts... the map picks are being done by each choosing one, then each eliminating one, and then the remaining map will be the tie breaker so a 5 map pool is what is needed... swapping out dm3 for ptrip might be a good choice, though players like defiant may not like that decision :/ really want to keep aero in it because its a really cool map that doesnt get much attention in america, along with that rage chastity and edge are a must for the map pool, so dm3 is the only one to swap out because not many americans like it except for playres like defiant... so... kinda ina jam as far as changing the map pool goes

Yeah there's map bans, but from reading the rules, you can still force maps that you know your opponent doesn't want to play on:

II.III Map selection is made using the following standard method: The higher seeded player picks a map from the map list first, afterwards the other player picks one map. From the three remaining maps the higher seeded player tosses a map, then the other player tosses a map of his choice. The remaining map will be played as third map, if a decider is needed. ( note that highest seed is #1, and lowest seed is #32 )

not entirely true... most games on dm1 i lose because i just hate the map too much to focus... the whole game im thinking "fuck dm1, fucking spawn based piece of shit, fuck dm1 fuck dm1 fuck dm1" xD when i get over that i usually do just fine versus some pretty decent players on it

it has to be really competitive for dm1 to be won at spawn... i doubt that happens much in random dm1 duels in NA.
