Coolest map EVER!

so im in a good mood right now just played the coolest map EVER!!

its basically a race track of ice where you can get going insanely fast in one of three lanes cant figure out which way is forward or backward... but i think i have an idea of which one is backward caues it makes you jump ontop of the map if you go fast lol the other one makes you jump out though... and you fall when the track gos down....

Wondering if any mapper would like to take the challenge to make another map like this its so much fun just for fucking around lol me and some of the t4 guys spent like a half hour on it just in warm up running it

Map name is slideways_dm i would also like to know if there is more maps like this

oh and props go to alpha for showing me the map

I love it too,  but it usually clears out vanilla when I mymap it.

yea, I thought it was a kewl map also - its just something that has been sitting in my maps folder going un-noticed for who knows how long. So eventually i uploaded it on the forums.

Ideally I wanted to cut the map down to a smaller size as well, add more weaps - maybe rearrange a few things

There is also a fairly popular CTF version of the map. In fact it may have been CTF first and then rereleased (or overridden) to be playable as deathmatch.

The map that quest uploaded was indeed the slideways_dm deathmatch version. 

Before adding the map to the servers, I made an override that tries to emphasize the track area a bit more.  With the override, if you do venture into the center of the map there are some rewards as far as added powerups and armor, and added teleporters to get back to the track quickly.  Initially there was no health or ammo on the track at all, nor items up on some of the ledges, etc.

(Oh yeah, and removed all spawnpoints from the inside of the map, so you only spawn near the track...)

I think we had this conversation before about CTF vs DM versions of the map when it was first uploaded. I've run out of things to talk about and I'm too lazy to necro-post in the old thread.

A must for railz.        You can go really fast on hockey as well, if you're not afraid to skate.
