tastyspleen should have some sort of tornament to see who r the top players. one for lpb and one for hpb. one for railz and one for dm. just a suggestion. cause there r a few really good players atm. the 2 stand outs would have to be joe and a guy named naymless. this naymless guy is really good at tourney playing on dm1. he raped almost everyone he plays, apart from joe, he nearly beat him.

yes we here alot of talk people beating their chest over who is better than who, and thats why we should have a tornament to see who really is the best. i am by no means saying i am the best cause i am not. i have had good matches and i have had my arse kicked into the middle of next year.

I'd like to think that everyone for the most part knows how good they are, so it would be kind of pointless to see who's the best. Plus I don't see people having much motivation to finish a tournament. Just my opinion for 1v1, although most of what I said would also be the case for railz. I'd still like to see 2v2 for railz though.

In the meantime, you may wish to check out the weekly KotH event, sort of a mini-tourney event held Friday nights at 9 PM eastern.

These days, signups for KotH take place on IRC, irc.globalgamers.net #tastycast, usually around 30 minutes before the event.

Can't believe there's still people on dial-up playing(assuming that if you want an HPB tournament), people used to say those words to me in 2005. It's hard to say who the best players are in each mod or to have the better players even attend such a tournament I would think. Cool that there's mini-tourneys going on in some mod.

well i thought ignorance went out the window a long time ago too but i spose not. i am a hpb because i am playing from australia, i am on adsl its just that there r no more aussie servers anymore which is sad to see cause we had a lot of good players back in the day

Elysium is probably the best for DM FFA, and the best for TDM is between Dahang and Naymlis I guess? It's been this way for a LONG time. Also, in order to have a tournament to crown the "best" players on the tasty servers, you'd have to have interest in such a tournament from those players that are generally considered to be the best. I'm not sure if that interest is present currently.

One of the Who's around here runs Australian servers.

can u point me in the direction of these aussie servers? i only know of 1 active one and thats a lithium server and no one ever goes there

lol a tourney wouldnt work...

but there is a few really good 1v1 players

dahang, naymlis, and a few i would consider very good but just under the best like ah!, focus, and epitaph

but that is just for NA, if you want the best quake2 1v1 player atm, its always a toss up between damiah, purri, or dahang

though dahang doesnt get the chance to play either of those players often
