Currently we have a small community set up, The servers ARE named "rbtdm" "rbffa" etc.. But they're not FOR RB, They're for the public.. We've got a forum being set up for it, currently have aprox 8 servers... Going to expand our VPS within the next few days, and get several more up, We DO have AC support thanks to quadz/r1ch, We're going to be changing the server names, And remove RB from the names.. RB does go there,,, But RB doesn't run it, Reborn is irrelevant to the community, on connect, we have a 'GOTO' set up like TS, Everyone is more then welcome to play here, We'll be having a weekly FFA at our openFFA server, It'll be shoutcasted.. These are scrungy details, We're still setting everything up, and the FFA event won't be taking place untill we can sort everything out, We also have a TDM server set up as a "sandbox" which is OK to try and find bugs and crash the server, in which case please report the bug to myself or WiFi_Man, 98.142.216.177 Happy hunting. The servers we currently have are set up in Atlanta, and the WF servers are in utah.

Cool, I might just check that one out. I'm sure my ISP will still find a way to route me to east bumblefuck though. Hopefully your Atlanta server will be FFA? I'm definitely down for a weekly casual FFA get-together, those were always fun back when EoM used to do them. Hopefully with AC connected there won't be any "issues" anymore. *nudge nudge* I sure hope so, like I said, it would be great to have a casual weekly FFA event.

And maybe you don't give a damn about my opinion, but I'm an asshole, so I'll give it anyway: I'm not too sure the shoutcasting idea would be a good thing. Maybe it would get the word out and get people interested, but personally I'd prefer a weekly FFA event without as much of an emphasis on competition. Personally I'd prefer any shit-talk and penis comparing to be left to the KOTH players.

Also... Having a mymap feature there would be a good idea. On the EoM server, there was no mymap. You could only vote maps that were already in the mapcfg rotation. Towards the end, I ended up putting about 60-80 maps in the config (all the normal maps, the most popular custom maps, and a few rarely seen but goodie maps). Every once in a while someone would drop in and request that we play a map not in the list, so I'd have to use rcon to change the map. I'm sure a designated admin would always be present to handle such things for a weekly event, but it would allow any map choices to be made on a first-come-first-served basis which would be a little more fair to everyone, plus it would allow the person acting as admin to DO LESS bullshit and play more themselves.

Be sure to post a comprehensive list of the servers names and IPs here whenever they're all up and running.

Yes, We currently do have an openFFA server set up,, It's somewhat like fusters, It's way better then DM or vanilla in my not so humble opinion, We have 5 servers set up in atlanta, They're all linked by a "goto", it's currently "goto rbffa" But we'll be changing the server names like I said. And we actually got the idea of a weekly ffa event from eom.., And for the ac support, ontop of that razor is banned.. has been for sometime now, Although I don't have any jurisdiction over the WF servers , They're just railcoop etc.. he's not banned from those.

That's far from being an asshole, but.. I think since it'd be an FFA event, and not focusing on 2 players, but the whole server.. and not really having any winners/prizes, Since it'd be several maps rather then just win 1 "omg I raped you fucking faggot (bundle of sticks) noobs"  But I do see exactly what you mean, And I don't know, Maybe try it one week.. see how it goes? Like I said, It's for the public.. I'd rather leave it up to majorities interest in shoutcasting or not.

Yeah, I'll see about setting up a mymap, But I'm not entirely sure about it,, We've also been thinking about an invite! command but that doesn't look too promising.. Have to do it the old fashion way and chase the nigguh down.

me and onphone would fucking love to have a server in utah only two utah quake2 duelers i know of... probably a couple more i just never met... so far, best ping for both of us (do to shitty comcast routing from utah) is 30 ping to seattle, and not many people like playing on west so utah MIGHT be a little better, would be interesting...

sadly though, even if wifi man pulls together his act and admins really solid... i still probably wouldnt play on it.... dont really trust anything but tastyspleen servers for quake2 completely solid, and quadz does a great job... and the anti cheater security is top notch for main stream servers, and if there is a problem it is taken care of asap not many people can do as good of a job as quadz does

Okay, Well the site is almost finished, and our VPS should be expanding any day now, I recently stopped playing on clickftw because of my 170-190 ping at t4, but once I get on dsl (11 days) it won't make any difference to me. Once I talk to WiFi man we'll be renaming all the servers.
