Should get this Q2 training stuff back up and running there is tons of newer players coming in from other communities just for stuff like koth and i find myself teaching them a lot in private lessons

On one of the first Quake Live KOTHs that jehar joined into I heard him mention that the broadcast of the KOTH was an extremely good tool for training. In that specific video he spent the first few matches discussing a lot of training info. I think I posted it here at one point. It was very cool.

We do get a lot of that from the q2 koths as well but not a full-blown training video. It could be more beneficial if we do many private sessions focusing on a very specific topic and record those sessions. Then compile those into a video to be rebroadcast. That should help with topics that have to be repeated and it would make a cool library of stuff for people to pick and choose from as they need it.

Another advantage is that the audio doesn't even have to be recorded real time. You can over-dub the videos later with a more prepared and condensed set of information.

The biggest advantage would be that it minimizes the setup required to hold a session. If we have to get Jehar to set aside another time-slot and be there to address any technical difficulties then it may conflict with the schedules of other people participating. Plus that gives you a lot of freedom to bring ANYONE onto the show. If a player from S. Korea can only play at 7:00am EST sunday morning then you're still free to help that person.

Maybe it's not better than doing it live, but just a suggestion.

Well if it was live, we could have questions coming in from irc and stuff so the information is more clarified and beneficial

also, not everyone thinks alike, so if questions were coming in from irc or vent then the info might be more useful

Well it looks like things have come around for me to where I can finally get back into this.
More interest in doing things like this again. I have really missed being a part of TS and the Training Camp.
Would love to partner with Jehar for some great broadcasts of some training sessions.

i would help as much as i could, people may not like to admit it but i do understand dueling quite well and i try to teach people to grow the community... might also be able to get people like kyuss or defiant involved they are pretty decent duelers

AND I KNOW THERE IS DEMAND!! there is a ton of newer players, coming from other mods or other quakes thanks to the tastycast, and even long standing loved community members like 5antana have expressed a want to improve their 1v1 game

If nothing else, could do something like just go over a single map every week, and some nice tips and tricks on dueling it, seems very do-able to me
