Players on "pause"

Sometimes i see players in "pause " mode during  deathmatch on TastySpleen Vanilla ,...motionless  and faces sticked to the wall.
I would like to know if there exists "no written law " about this behavior  ...like something that  stiplulated to  ignore this player temporarily  ......
I don't  really understand why some do that....maybe to take a little pause to send messages ???

there are only 2 possible explainations for this.
1. if they are facing on the wall and still motionless they are probably away from the computer or busy doing something else and not playing. like they are chatting etc.
2. if they are on pause and doesnt seem to move, more likely that player is experiencing a lag.

well if you shot at them it still count as a frag but there are some players who observes the so called "gentlemans code"  that avoid shooting at them.
Its entirely up to you though.

Lots of people still stand facing a corner while typing in order to notify other players. It used to be common practice to not shoot people standing in the corner for this reason, however there are no rules against it.

I always thought it was silly. Chat kills are part of the game. If you take kills seriously enough to care that you were fragged while chatting then STFU and play. If you are like me then it doesn't matter. Besides, it looks like you are being punished. Stand in that corner until you are ready to finish your supper!

well good for you but you must also remember that if you wont frag them someone else will do.

lol if some one is facing a corner OBVIOUSLY they took a piss break we arent animals ya know, they are just pissing in the corner 

your choice to shoot em or not, lag kills and chat kills arent anything bad, some one will kill em either way, might as well be you just dont lag kill in 1v1

some players would rather not go for an easy kill, some would rather have a fight they loose vs a free point. 

But hey, don't stand still unless you want to die!
