Think we could put together an 12v12 or even a 8v8 on some giant maps? I think it'd be quite a fun event to get a GIANT team game going on one of the pygmy maps. This should be open to everyone and all contestants should relax and just have fun. We could decide teams when we get there. We can put some effort into balancing things out but make sure that we don't delay things haggling over who's on what team.

This would be a perfect place to put cow models on one side and penguin or grey model on the other. There are even a few newer large maps out. I just saw one called bczonered this past week over at the q2c, here's the thread.

I honestly think that this will appeal mostly to dm and vanilla players and that the usual tourney and duelers would give this thing a pass. I'm all for that because this will be more fun and funny than competitive! Thought?

I'm in. Definitely record it and post on YouTube. I bet it makes it to "top video" and would be great advertisement for Tastyspleen.

Haha, that'd be interesting to have multiple skins on one team. If openTDM can't do that already then I'm sure it's a simple change to allow it.

Still in planning stages. Right now I'm trying to drum up interest. I'll throw up a poll on the Original post. I'd say if we get 16 yeses then I'll begin the haggle over date and time.

I think that we should lock in a date. It sounds like it's going to be closer to an 8v8 but you never know.

Anyone who has any other major events please chime in. I'm also excited about the ir500. Dervish, got a time frame for that?

Actually if the qexpo is happening this year, I'd like to piggy back that as an event. Any other suggested dates are welcome. Let's moo this!

Sounds like Dervish wants to do IR500 this weekend. So I'd suggest doing this on a following saturday, either June 19th or July 3rd. I think that most of our cows are on drastically different schedules. There's a morning herd (that I usually take part in) a limited noon (EST) herd, and then a dwindling evening herd. So It's going to be rough finding a happy medium. Green pastures if you will.

But probably noon (EST) will be a standard time for all parties. Thoughts?
