yeah just for http and probably some other ports to. I think the software does the auto configure of ur client if not modify some settings.
Its just a proxy i think and some fancy IP relay.. What would be interesting if it works on q2 :)

Yeah, it's a proxy, probably only good for browsing. The problem with proxies is that ALL your sessions go through them, do you really trust these clowns with your banking or credit card information? How about usernames and passwords on your web mail? If you turn it off are you SURE it's really off? Every "solution" becomes a problem.

there are lots of free web proxies around there.. I think with regards to IM clients you can easily hide it by configuring ur client to use a proxy.

being that the government taps large backbones, and can force them to log information, I'd have to say it's not 100 percent.
