Quakecon 2010

Employer just sent a message saying that quakecon may be a blackout date for days off. I have an unrelated meeting with that person today.

Any advice on how to not get fired today? 


(considering that I covered for someone else last year that went to quakecon and that's why I missed it)


 


Moral of the story. I'm not missing this year. E-mail to Bosses' Boss may follow if this isn't resolved quickly.

So after a 7 hour meeting involving the project, we talked for 30 seconds. The deal is that blackout dates don't apply if the project is ahead. That's not quite good enough for me but it slightly quells my rage.

I'm going to reopen the conversation tomorrow.

yikes peewee, hope they don't give you a hassle about going! seems like we may have a pretty good showing this year ...
