While goth individuals may participate in body modification and BDSM activities and BDSM activities may involve dressing in black or body modification they are not the same culture. They are not mutually exclusive either and I don't see where peewee_RotA identified a cross-over culture to raise the question. While I once had a G/F who was into BDSM and body modification (nipple rings, piercings, tats) she was not Goth since the term had not been invented yet. Nor did she dress primarily in black. But she did look good in black leather harness and a gold chained clamp set on those rings.
