I got tired of the ugly cyan colored icon, so I made this one. Still ugly, but different.

There's nothing ugly about the quake symbol. It could be tied to Amy Winehouse's face and it'd still look good.


But it's always nice to see things freshened up. I like the berserker@q2 version of it as well.

I also had two others I made. Here's the first one. Same the one before, but with a red Q on a transparent background. The orange-ish shit behind it is my desktop wallpaper, not part of the icon.

I also made one with an image I tweaked from Doom3. The invulnerability powerup. I edited out the green sphere surrounding it. It really doesn't have anything to do with Quake2, but I thought it looked kinda cool.

I made a few more little items for windows that I figured I'd share.

First of all, I made a couple of animated cursors. I took the spinning Q2 cursor icon from the stock Quake2 main menu and colored it red to go along with some other cursors that I had from an old Redneck Rampage Win98 theme I had. The only ones that I animated are the "working in background" cursor (spinning Q2 with pointer) and "busy" cursor (spinning Q2 only).

Also made some recycle bin icons that look like toilets. I made them in 2 different sizes (32 x 32 for small, 64 x 64 for larger icons), but I'm not real sure how they'd work on someone elses desktop with a resolution larger than 1024x768 like mine. I've also included a nice little toilet flush sound to go along with it. In the preview images, you'll notice that I also changed the name of the recycle bin. I'm not sure if Windows7 will allow you to change the name of it naturally... probably not. I use WinXP and I had to edit my registry to allow me to rename it. I wouldn't recommend most people do that because you can seriously fuck your shit up if you edit the wrong thing, so I won't include anything on how to do it.
