I have had this lame song stuck in my head that my wife has been listening to a lot. So I think we should reserve this thread to list really annoying songs followed by a rant of how much you hate the song and the band that made it. I purposely did not post this thread in the art and music sub-board because these songs should be considered neither.

So the song that has been bothering me is "Hot-N-Cold" by some scantily clad bimbo. So the song is about being in a relationship with someone that is very indecisive. It's as if the band had a conversation while writing it:
"So how's the song coming?"
"Well I've got a catchy tune written but I can't decide what to write for lyrics. I'm just so indecisive sometimes."
"Anyway. Did you mess with the thermostat again? It has gotten cold all of a sudden."
"I thought you said it was hot in here!"

I love the complexity of the song. It reminds me of those novelty keyboards that came out, where you could play the whole chord by hitting just one key. Except these guys actually produced a song around it.

As far as other annoying songs, there are way too many these days to attempt. BTW, why isn't this in "Art, Music etc"?

Fireflies by Owl city

What is there to like about this song? It's some creepy teenage boy with a synthesized voice singing a song fit for a 10 year old girl set to horrid techno music..

My favorite line is:
If I could get one thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
...

That means that 9,000 of those lightning bugs don't like him.

My wife found some youtube singer who redid the song, she is a teenage girl and actually can sing. That versions of the song may be annoying, but it's not a "Young girl get out of my mind" kind of creepy like the original. So the made for Disney Special original was upstaged by a youtube singer.
