I edited the original skins for monsters and made them brighter,and have more vibrant colors,what do you guys think?

well in vortex mod when night falls it gets really fucking dark since your only allowed a modulate level of "3",and my eyes arent the best eyes ive seen thru

Hey, RealistiC! How you do this work? I don´t know how do normal pcx skins to be brighter png skins!

Is hard or easy to do this and what program, editor that you used?

well for these skins i incresed the level of colorfulness,and added some brightness/contrast to make bright areas brighter and dark shadows darker,and more realistically shaded.

i used program called GIMP- its free,google it.

these skins i incresed the level of colorfulness,and added some brightness/contrast to make bright areas brighter and dark shadows darker,and more realistically shaded,saved as .png file and thats pretty much it.

That is almost EXACTLY what I did to make my bright-objects pak! I used GIMP to open the chaingun (and the other weapons for that matter) and saved it out as a .PNG file. Then I used ms-paint to convert these 8-bit pngs to 24 bit bmps. Then I opened the bmps with GIMP, adjusted brightness/contrast to taste, then saved it out again. In the case of the chaingun, I made a second skin mostly alpha but with a little bit of blue in places and combined that with the brightened skin to make an easy-to-see but still mostly metallic chaingun!
