Microphone troubles

Hey, I'm having some issues with my microphone since installing Win7. Basically, it works, but every time (it seems) I restart my PC, or close down Ventrilo/Skype when I talk, the mic acts as if it isn't plugged in, and I have to get down behind the PC and unplug it, and replug it in for it to start working again. Any ideas? I've installed the latest realtek audio drivers, it's not in the wrong input (pink, as it should be!). just can't think what it would be. It's more of an annoyance than a problem but nevertheless wouldn't mind getting it sorted.

Maybe the MUTE comes on for some reason. Check your audio properties next time you start your PC. Maybe it's something in the Registry - Startup. Check there. Could be a Win 7 bug. Maybe Google that.

DM server is fucked. 2 point blank rockets from spawn and lava damage and player survived? WTF?" Also someone has fucked with the spawn points, every single time no matter how big the map you spawn right in front of the person who killed you last
