I foresee a future in which nuclear missiles will be about as useful as a Commodore 64. Nations will soon be armed with black hole bombs that will not blow things apart, but instead suck them down into pebbles of dense non-existence.

I singularity armed patriot missile would be effin' sweet for ICBM defense.

My imagination's going a mile a minute with stuff like this. Picture a garbage receptacle that is also a power reactor. Dump your garbage into the singularity core and the output of heat power's a generator akin to a nuclear reactor in function.

Of course, that's assuming that the resulting reaction of adding solid matter to the thing still results in an output of heat.

Off subject

In the Void series by Peter Hamilton,   they have a weapon called a Hawking's M-Sink

Was a tiny black hole,   though it gradually got bigger with what it sucked in.

Was use to go into a warehouse,  and suck every piece of machinery out of it to hide evidence.
Then dumped out in space at a later time I think.

A more kewl use of it was as a weapon,  fired at a ship it had no problem passing through the shield,  through the ship warping the hell out of it, then through the air and into the planet where it sinks into the core and gradually eats it up.
