I'm involved in a an unemployment legal hearing. My ex-manager + her free attorney provided v. My boss + her attorney......I'm a witness.

Anyway, this woman who I replaced was just supposed to be a temporary job, managing a motel office and marina. She went on maternity leave... A month and a half later she told me, my boss, and several others she wasn't coming back. She told me over the internet in the java-based facebook chat option. It went something like this:

Her: "did you hear that I'm not coming back?"
Me: "no... why not?"
Her: "Because I don't have someone who will babysit at 4am in the morning, not to mention other child-related things"
Me: "that's too bad.. how are things blah blah blah"

She is saying that she got fired and her job was "given" away to me--When the funny thing is, is that her job / old position is STILL open, being that I'm about to leave in not too long..........so her claims are all bogus. I didn't even know that I would be working into the winter-time until august, when my boss offered me more work when I was getting ready to file for unemployment. She is saying that my boss gave her job away to me a month before she even told me she wasn't coming back. To top it all off, my boss even paid her insurance for 2 months, even though since she didn't come back she was supposed to pay it back.. just because my boss wanted to give her a break being that she just had a child.

OK, so this bitch printed out my entire facebook wall. Pages, upon pages, and pages... as far as it will go back. She submitted this to her attorney, whoever is presiding, my boss's attorney, AND MY BOSS. She told me that shit on the java-based gay chat thing, and then she prints out everything that i've ever done or that's been said on my facebook page as if the 2 methods of communication are correlated whatsoever........ it did nothing but let my boss read everything about me. Her name wasn't even on the shit except for us "being facebook friends". So she's taking the approach "look... he lied... we never talked on his facebook" which plays on how naive the woman presiding is to how facebook is (which wouldn't fly, of course) and simultaneously she's hinting at: read through all of this guy's stuff... can we really believe what he has to say?

This really pissed me off. I've already thought this out and know exactly what I'm going to do, rest assured I am the smartest person during these lame conference calls / hearings. It's just stupid. Immature lying bitch deleted me off her fb friends afterwards too.... Whatever, she is getting owned.

Should have been happy to get her old job back. I hope everything works out, which I'm sure it will. Just sounds like a pain in the neck. $:-\$

Yeah it doesn't make much of a difference to me other than my boss sees a bunch of personal info I didn't want her to see............. I'm just dragged in the middle of it getting owned for telling the truth.

I would delete this post on here until after the trial. I saw a trial involving a forum member once before and messages on a different internet forum were submitted as evidence, so the lawyer advised him to not talk on any public forum what-so-ever about the trial. After that, all of his posts regarding the case were pulled and a few others containing key information.

I'm not sure the reasonings behind it but that's just how it's done. I'd hate to see your testimony be ignored because of some stupid technicality.

As for facebook/personal information. If you are in for a good laugh/scare/cry read the facebook terms of service. Nothing posted there is even protected from advertisement sites even if you have your settings as restricted as possible. Basically facebook=public knowledge.

(I made a snarky facebook comment about my boss once a few weeks ago that she could see, so luckily I deleted it in time before she saw it)

Contact facebook and see if they log the chat convos. And ensure that you sit down with the lawyers on both sides and censor what's irrelevant for the case.

Plant drugs of a felony weight in several individual little bags at her house. Have someone not connectable to you call the police and tell them that she is a dealer and that she keeps her cache in a specific place (where you planted it). This would be even more effective if you KNOW this person is currently using the same substance you intend to plant. Plant it somewhere like under the mattress or underneath their night stand, somewhere directly linked to them in their bedroom that they might visit often but not discover it before the law comes to search for it.

But then again, if the outcome of this case really has no bearing on you personally or financially, just forget about it and let her do whatever she does. Of course if you ever lock this thread, I'll know to permanently delete this post as it will obviously be an unnecessary addition to this thread.

but that's not it happy. My facebook is fairly clean, to the point where I wouldn't mind an employer look at it, at all.. so that's not the issue. Was just trying to share how ridiculous the situation is: (having a conversation in a java-based program, then her sending my entire facebook wall as proof that she didn't have the conversation with me, when the 2 methods of communication are NOT correlated whatsoever....)

wait... I have lawn furniture?!?!?!?

It just so happens there's "important" people with the same name as me so I'm buried way down in search results. Other people I've done searches on have been relatively easy to find info on (ie found out my kids gym teacher was the #1 highschool b-ball player in her state). What is useful is once you know a name & a location you can check public records. Some guy in our school district was complaining taxes are going up to fast. I couldn't find a name/address in the phone book so I went to the online property lookup. Found out he moved in to town AFTER huge property tax spikes, bought a really expensive place (more expensive then many others in town) & his taxes have gone up ~$50 in 5 years. Oppes.
