Good Settings For Old Quake Player

I have not played this game in a few years, just redownloaded it.

I am on an  intel mac 2.66ghz with 4GB of ram.

Looking for all those heady autoconfig settings that I once had..

Anyone have the basic codes that I should insert into my autoconfig file to make everything run optimally.

Also, do I need to delete and rename the "config.cfg" file in the baseq2 folder to "autoconfig" or something?

I just can't remember, need someone to remind me!

On  the rename issue, yes, or more properly, copy config.cfg to autoexec.cfg, then you can edit autoexec.cfg to suit.
