The next destination in my perilous journey has been achieved at last.  The setting is an uncanny forest area littered with foliage that blankets the moist earth below my feet.

As I kneel against a tree in an attempt to catch new wind into my beaten body, I think of the two foes who stood before me.  Was it worth sending them to the other dimension?  What will happen if I find myself being sent there?  Xtife and DtheRaTT were two very respectable opponents, but was it worth being sent to that heinous place?  When will my time come?  What is my fate?  These are questions that continually circulate and torture my mind.

I awaken to the sound of soft footsteps close to me.  I am able to distinguish what sounds like a young girl.  I peer around the side of rotten tree to see Abby preparing for battle.  She has triumphed over two individuals already. 

...!  Her eyes pierce through my soul.  An epic battle awaits.  My fate will be decided here and now, either filled with pain and sorrow or me prolonging the inevitable.

The moment of swift judgment has arrived again.  I must not hold back...
My Kobra Kutlass has been sharpened to perfection.  You know what I mean?

Nice to see someone read it, lol.  I always liked making stories out of different things I enjoyed doing...Or making them up in my mind at least.  So since I usually have nothing better to do, I decided it would be fun to make a story with a character (this time being me) going through the different battlegrounds of the tournament.  I am not a great writer by any means, but I guess it's fun making up 2-4 paragraphs in every Game Thread about my tournament trials.

Think this should be a good match...I have been impressed with Abby's performance so far.  Not sure if I can do anything different than what Reflex and Bleach tried to do against her.  So win or lose, I am ready to go on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.  I can play other days too, but they would have to be sometime after 11:00pm Eastern.

Good games, all I have to say right now is that was by far the most humbling match I have ever played in.  I now have a clear understanding of my shortcomings and will try my best to work on them.  There is still a lot left for me to strive for...Just need to find my dedication that I somehow lost along the way.

Time for my obligatory post thanking those involved in the match.  Why do I do this?  Because I appreciate the fact that others still play and enjoy Quake II.  You're keeping a great thing alive, so it's only fitting that I express my gratitude in some small way.

First, thanks to Mya for reffing the match even though it happened later than expected.

Second, I must thank Abby and DKarn for two well-played games.  DKarn's knowledge of the game has made Abby a very good player at such a young age.  I would like to thank Abby for exposing my weakness to me.  I now know what to improve on and have learned some ways to go about it.  Sometimes it's the people that you least expect that are the ones that teach you new things.  The second game at grdm1 made me a little heartbroken at the end since I tried so hard to find Abby's final spawn...But it turns out that she ran the clock out, so I have to give credit to DKarn for most likely telling her not to go back in.  Great learning experience, and I think this is the experience that I have been looking for.  Thanks for helping me rediscover my dedication to improve.

Third, thanks to the large amount of spectators who came to watch both games.  Sorry I couldn't win it for those who were cheering me on.
