It's a total different way of driving out there. It's more a focus of strategy and pushing the engine to it's limits with such fine tuning that gets every last inch out of the engine. I do like watching when they take to the Road Courses. Are they using different cars when they do the Road Courses?

No, same cars.

That's not entirely accurate. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they began using a different tire for road courses several years back. And while the cars do appear the same, it's not the exact same car that they would run on any small oval or superspeedway track. There is large difference as far as wedge adjustments, wheel camber, track bars, and gear ratios. From what I gather, most teams have about 5 or 6 cars they use for oval tracks and 2 for road courses. I'm not too crazy about the road course races, I prefer the oval superspeedways, especially Atlanta and Daytona. Talladega is always fun to watch on TV too, but in person it's a bit too large to really see all the action.

And like Jager mentioned, the over-commercialization of it all really turned me off. I was really into until about the time they reconfigured Atlanta Motor Speedway. I was at the last race there before the change and construction was still underway. A seat on the front stretch (which is now the back stretch) was about 90 bucks. Now, unless prices have gone up even more (and they probably have), seats in those same stands on the back stretch are still 90 to 100 bucks, while seats on the front stretch range from probably 130 to 200 bucks. That is absolutely fucking insane. I can usually get into the races for free though. My father is a Freemason and his lodge usually volunteers to help with ushering and security. I've tagged along with those old farts a few times as security just so I could see the race for free, heehee. I haven't offered to help them out in the past several years though, even for free I'm not too interested in it anymore. It was pretty cool though, I'd get to stand right up against the fence as they'd come whipping by at 195 mph while hollering at anyone else who tried standing at the fence walkway to watch. Wasn't always fun either, occasionally I'd have to forcibly remove some drunk belligerent asshole who refused to go sit down somewhere.

i bet seats are cheap for atlanta now, they struggle to sell that race. i cnat see why, it's one of my fav races to watch. 1.5 miles, decent bank, high speeds, close racing, doesnt get much better then that imo, i know its myh fav to race in gaming for sure

yeah and its not even different tires for road racing, the tires for each track a bit different (accept maybe cookie cutter tracks) and each track also has it's own setup as foc explained. from the words of that gay tom cruise movie "There is nothing stock about a stock car."

Proper capitalization is never pretentious. It shows the author is properly educated and pays attention to detail. It shows the author is deserving of his Rightful Place among The Illuminati.

But I think the menues on the front page represent a stylistic choice and capitals in that case might appear out of place.

There's been times when i would type quadz's name with a capital Q and he'd go in and edit my post and change it to lowercase

i often ignore capitals.  Usually as a statement in writing.  i almost always refuse to use a capital I when writing i to mean myself, and i also just am a very laid back and relaxed, mellow dude.  i like lowercase letters and their mellowness.

years ago, i tried to get the whole clan to move away from caps.  So that [BTF]Gator would just be btf.gator.  However, i was outvoted.  :/

Same car - completly different setup. On the ovals the cars are set up to pull to the left so they can enter, and accelarate thru the left corners. Nascar calls it "stagger". More intelligent engineers call it camber, caster and turn-in. If you drove down the straightaway in an oval setup car and let go of the steering wheel, you would shoot off to the left into the grass. Like having a severe pull to the left in your passenger car.
For road races the car is set up to be much more neutral, with a trace of understeer or oversteer depending on the drivers preference. It needs to be neutral to deal with the different cornering and braking situations, you would encounter on a road course.
