Hi Everyone,

Is their a client that I'm supposed to be using besides 3.20?  I thought that was the last ever release from ID?  I use that anticheat with r1q2, was the closest thing to playing with just a vanilla .exe  everything else really f'd my settings all up.  Secondly, I have a setup still meant for q2, one of the reasons why I still have a CRT monitor.  I play off and on every few months to a year.  I get that itch to play a little again.  It is frustrating to play and miss a bunch of shots that used to be so easy heh.  Well, have fun playing a look to see everyone on there.

Ideally, any http://antiche.at/ capable client would be preferred over 3.20.  With a few tweaks, r1q2 can be configured to be nearly identical to 3.20.

I used 3.20 when I first came back to Q2 after 7 or 8 years. I didn't start using R1Q2 + R1GL + anticheat until I was forced to do so in order to compete in the NAiL tourney a year or so ago. I hated it at first, but once I got all the kinks worked out with a decent config, I liked it a lot better. It's unfortunate that you've been FORCED to switch, but perhaps once you get R1Q2 figured out, you'll be kicking the whining sniveling newbies asses even harder. 

If you describe the problems you're currently having, I'm sure someone could point you in the right direction. If you'd post your current system setup and current r1q2 config, it'd be simple work to get it tweaked for maximum ass-whooping.

I knew that asyncronous command was messing me all up.  When that is enabled, my shots are horrendously delayed.  I disabled that and it is much better.  I wished i didn't change hardware every 4 seconds, it would be much easier to come back to quake, but then again my machine isn't exactly built to play 12 year old games, more like 12 second old games.
