Overheating monitor

only things you need to monitor really are your cpu and graphics cards.

nvidia cards can be monitored through nTune... if you have more nvidia parts it will monitor them too... it also watches CPU http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.54.00.html

otherwise for CPU I use CoreTemp

you mobo bridges shouldnt be effected by ambient heat... they get screwed up from over voltage

ok, under further inspection it doesen't even have a back fan, its just one large one on the underside of it. wat!

CPU is 55 (tabbed out from anything) and going up to 75ish when tabbed into a game :/ this suxors

Some cpu's just run hotter than others, do you know what normal is for your cpu type?

get a bigger and better cpu cooler.

remove the current one carefully and clean the top of the chip off.

google instructions for doing so.


install new cooler.

I put one in my ATX-mid case like that. It has a little less than an inch of clearance to the side of the case, and I was unsure that it would fit until I had it clipped in.

The directed flow of air out the back is much more useful than the stock configuration, and with some artful casefan placement and that HD cooler that I recommended above, everything stays nice and chilly.
