Help joining a server.

Hi,
I've picked up Quake 2 again, after about 10 years, and I've been trying to get setup and play, but every time I join a tastyspleen servers it gives me this error:

"You were kicked from the game
 Disconnected by Server!"

What all is necessary for me to join. I thought I downloaded all the files that were needed.

you are probably caught in a ban meant for some other player.

make sure you aren't using the name "Player" and I'll let an admin know about this so they can check the ban lists.

No, my name is set to haruspex, and I'm on a wireless connection so wouldn't my ip change every time I connect?
