For anyone interested in a night of Duke Nukem 3d Dukematch tournaments tomorrow, I've organized the below event:

Thanks insanely to Jehar, friar, Quake Unity, the members of the Save 3DR facebook group, Joe Siegler Formerly of 3D Realms, and always the benevolent Quadz.

As you have read, 3d Realms has closed it's doors and displaced a team of great talent. If you've seen the leaked gameplay and concept art, you'll see just how top notched some of these people were. In order to try and help some of these employees get back on their feet we have organized a fund raising event this Friday, May 15th 2009, to benefit the laid off employees. The event includes a radio broadcast, an IRC chat, a Duke Nukem 3d dukematch turnament, and a webpage that people can donate.

I invite everyone to participate in this event. The first event for the European audience kicks off at 2:00pm EST (18:00 UST) and the festivities will continue on radio, IRC chat, and in games until the last person leaves. Then at 9:00pm EST the party starts again for everyone in the States. This is a major chance to give 3D Realms the send off that it deserves and to help some fine people in the process.
