I was actually looking at maps for this today.

I'm leaning toward an override for the q2 port of "de_dust" with different spawns and sky.

instead of an override I ripped the de_dust action quake port, alterred it for the event and rebuilt it with different lighting, some structural fixes and such and a shit ton of spawns.

I have the new map loaded up on irtdm2 now with the ir500 config plus voteable bots for testing it under load.
Should be able to vote up to 12 bots in, but voting threshold is 51% so if you're alone and want to give it a shot, just "vote addbot 12" then reconnect and it'll go through.

Let me know if you find any glaring fuckups as I still have time to fix them.

Chime in with dates after the 1st of May that you think the iR500 event itself should run.
I'll be moving to a new place this weekend and over the next week so I won't have net for some of the time.
Any time after that though should be fine to get it running. (historically it's on a sunday during the mid day early evening, but saturdays aren't out of the question)

For some reason the texture downloads are failing for me...
[UDP] texture/filename [FAIL]
I have textures set to download, so I'm not sure what the problem is...

odd, it was doing that for alpha too.

I've put them up on the website here for now: http://ir.tastyspleen.net/files/ir_dust.zip
Unzip that into baseq2 and it'll drop the folder in place.

I'm probably going to have to retexture the map to fix the huge number of "texture out of folder" warnings too
Now that I think of it, that might be causing the download problem.
