Was chatting Evilpope for a bit, and he expressed the possibility of bringing it back.
A few technical issues aside... if the interest was there.

Also possibility of another west coast server, denomination not known

Basically, it was the NA version of q2scene.net. TS gets the job done but if there's a possibility of Q2P being resurrected then I wouldn't be against it. If anything it might be nice to have it for uploading demos instead of making a forum thread and attaching it all the time. Would need more dael wherever he is though, always fun to read his stuff!

Actually, I had mentioned how the demo part of q2p was sweet.
He offered writing some php/mysql for tasty to cat/sort demos...

Hadn't passed that along to Quadz yet.. but I guess I just did

I like having demos in threads, allows discussion.
But sorting by map/date/player/type is more usefull.

I used to love their wall of shame. I used to go through it all the time to see if I recognized any names.

TS should have one also.

Didn't they also have a DM server run by a guy named macman or mactac or something like that?

nah, i had like 4 dm servers up but I ran them all. dunno who macman/mactac is

I did a search in the archives. My Mistake. The guy called himself [CDC]Macatac and he was a member of q2players.org

He ran this sight http://web.archive.org/web/20041211160944/cdcgaming.net/xindex.html and many players who played at q2players.org, also played on his server.

Someone should get quadz attention to see if tastyspleen would like a demo section. I'll probably start writing some code next week so if I don't hear back I'll probably remake q2players.
