my mouse keeps scrolling up and down with the wheel when i dont use it or play q2 !

It may be an easy fix. Crack it open and see if the spring or some other little part needs to be reset back in place correctly. That can happen if you get pissed and slam the mouse around. I had to reset the spring and other parts in mine several times. I finally slammed it so hard not too long ago that the mouse wheel sensor iteself jutting out of the PC board broke loose from the solder and now scrolling with the mouse is impossible. It still clicks though.

More than likely its that little infrared sensor that faces the spoked wheel. Maybe there's gunk on that wheel that needs cleaning off.
