Guess the musicians

Saw this old movie poster of a cheezy Hollywood flick circa 1970 (i'm guessing). But the musicians in the background look familiar, albeit changed a bit to avoid copyright. Who are they?

The Piss Ministers!

Actually, I ain't got a clue. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band maybe?

Actually, there is no such band as the Piss Ministers. I made that up. But it is a clever and catchy name. If I ever decide to start a punk band, that's probably the name I'll pick. Years ago in high school I got bored and started jotting down hundreds of ridiculous fictional punk band names. I remember that some of them were funny as hell, I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere. Bands like the Circle Jerks and the Queers have proven that NO name is too ridiculous for a punk band.

Well the right side was pretty easy. I recognized that immediately. The drummer in the poster has grown a mustache and is playing a really big tom drum, with symphony drum sticks. And Mark has decided to play acoustic (bent backwards) instead of electric. That's the cover from their second album.
I'm still working on the left side. I think the guy in the glasses is from CCR and I've definitely seen the guitarist beside him (that exact picture). Sax player vaguely familiar. Wasn't much horn in any rock back then.

Hehe, I even have that on vinyl LP and it slipped right past me.

I was mainly looking at the guys on the left. The guitarist in the middle looks a little like Bob Seger, but I doubt that's who it is since this movie came out a little before Bob Seger popped into the scene.
