I'm certainly not cheating (i suck) and I was banned today...why? :cry:

when did you get banned? you might have picked up a banned ip. see if you can get a new dynamic by reconnecting to your provider and see if that works. i think there was someone who got back but there name was lil tate or lil fate. unless you got a kid playing from your machine?

Essie, do mean "banned", as in permanently, or were you booted from a game you were playing? Did some admin/console type say you were "banned"?

I was in a game yesterday when I was kicked out along with several other players and I cannot reconnect! When I try to join I get a message that says "connection refused"! Jeez I'm heartbroken.... :cry:

"Connection refused" can mean an awful lot of things. One thing to consider is that it could be your settings. If I remember correctly, an invalid name (ex: 'console') results in a "connection refused", although on xquake I beleive you also get a message asking you to change your name. I haven't tried it, but using a huge FOV could also cause similar problems. On other servers, changing your msg setting can result in an immediate boot and refused connections until you change it back. It just depends on what things the server is set up to not allow.

So if all else fails, be sure to reset your settings to the game defaults just in case your hitting a bad setting that results in the server not allowing you in. The admins could probably give you a list of things that might be worth looking into.

Fragger, you came on with a bot repeatedly after being warned, and were initially banned for a week. You asked here on the forums for the ban to be removed, and it was removed on the condition that you stop botting.

Within days of the ban being lifted, you were back on with your bot. Yes it was you, not "someone musta got my ip". It doesn't work that way. The ban is now permanent. Sorry. You were warned.
