It is not an obligation for the participants to read the rules - however that does not elude them from their authority.

Most likely, and hopefully, the rules will not be used frequently. They serve their purpose in unexpected situations relating Tournament, matches and Scheduling issues. The Referees should be aware of them and refer to them so as to take a decision immediatly.

1. Timeouts, disconnections.
i) Unless stated otherwise, a player for each match, has a right to 3 timeouts of 60 seconds which he can claim by typing "time","timein" or "matchpause" in the console.
ii) If for any reason, a player is disconnected (or quits) from the game, the match is automatically paused, and he has 10 minutes to join back, the match will then be resumed. Otherwise, the player is disqualified and lose his match, unless his opponent wishes to start over. The next match(es), if any, will be rescheduled.
iia) In case of a Forfeit (quit), the default score is of 10-0.
iii)In case of a Server Crash, if the match still had more than 2 minutes to be played. It will have to be started over. Otherwise, the Score at the Crash will be the final score, unless the winner wishes to start over.

2. Scheduling
i) If player x tries to contact player y but the latter fails to answer - at the end of the Weektime. Player x gets a BYE to the next round.
ii) It is player x's responsibility to notify the Admins/referees of the situation in i), so that measures can be taken accordingly (Admins will try to establish contact with player y - and will be able to judge which player is in the wrong).

3. Refereeing
i) Unless stated otherwise, a match played without a referee is not valid.
ii) Referees have the responsibility of recording a Demo, and if possible, capture a screenshot.

4. InGame
i) In spectator Mode, players shall always talk using Messagemode2.
ii) During warmups (of a Tourney Match) - If one of the two players requests MM2, the Referee will enforce it.
Warmups can be as long as the two players wish, until they both ready up.
iii) Flooding and excessive chat hijacking will be rewarded accordingly.

5. Clients
i) For Novice and Sport Bracket, no clients are forced.
ii) For Pro Bracket, q2a will be forced on a 'trust' basis. If one of the player asks for q2a forced, both players will have to use a valid q2a client. However if both agree - they can use any client they wish.

6. Voting
i) In any voting related to settings, in case of a tie in the Poll, a Dice will be rolled.

6. Servers
i) All matches of the Tourney shall be on either Tastyspleen.net:27930 or 27931 except:
a) if the TWO players live outside North America
b) if players are from pro-bracket, they can agree to play on Blackdragons TDM : 82.165.228.91:27920
