Hey Def... if there's any way to do it today (Monday) that would be the best time for me. I'm moving today so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get online again - and it will be on dial up

I want an even match; but, I can't play from work (where I am now) and tonight isn't good. You won't have a good connect at your new place?

I know how frustrating a bad connect is, I have one of the worst pings for a US player (hover at 90ms with dropout spikes). Which is why I schedule matches for late at night (even though I'm up at 5AM). I shouldn't complain relative to the non North America players and modem players. Reminds me of how much I miss Q2 on LAN.

Could we play Friday night 9PM PST / midnight EST?

Ummm... I believe that should be possible - I should have my computer set up by then - but I'm not sure about the time. I think it may need to be later than that because I'll be doing events and staff training all day into the night and it may run into that time. I'll update you as I get farther into the week.

I think I'll still be competitive despite the ping - I'll just have to work on honing my prediciton shots

Defiant,
This is the first chance I've had to access the internet since coming here. I don't think I'll be able to play.

We don't have a phone line set up in my cabin yet and I doubt we will by tomorrow. Doesn't look like there's any chance at DSL or cable modem either... <sigh> I will eventually get dial up and start seeing you guys again, but I'm gonna be gone a while....
Sorry about this to everyone involved, I should probably not have signed up for this. Good luck in the tourney, Def - I know you'll do well. I'll be around to check in on how it's going. In the meantime... good luck and have fun!

Let me know if you get a chance to play at all, because I want it to happen.

Yeah, that should work. I live in Dallas. I haven't done anything competitive in the gaming community in 5+ years so I don't have any messenger programes, irc, etc...

As far as who I am.....I actually completed in two CPL tourneys back in 98/99 and finished top 20, but that WAS A LONG TIME AGO and I stopped playing dm when q3 came out. I played EQ and crap like that but nothing FPS related. I have been playing again for about two months and see jumps that ppl do that were never done when I played. Bad News

I left work at 1pm today to drive home to ref the hieronymous/J2Kool match. Got home and found the net connection is dead (Cox!).
So I may not have a net connection to play tonight. If I don't have it tomorrow, then I will have to concede.

If I am unable to play tomorrow:
- either wounded gets a bye
- someone gets reshuffled with wounded (maybe even The Crazed?)

I drove into work to post this.

I am assuming that tonight will not happen, hence I will not head up to work. If that changes in the next 30-45 minutes, please post a message. It takes about 15 minutes for me to get up there.

As an old man, 30, you have forced me to go out and get bombed. =)

Hopefully your connection will return as I want to play for the fun of playing not advancing.
