If DDay had updated models/maps, it could contend with other WW2 MP games out there. 4.1 is under the GPL too, so it's RIPE for someone to put it in a nicer Q2 engine & go nuts with it.

Working on this weekend's mod atm.

Well, since the mod's been announced, we're up to 1.2 & it's got some bug fixes/new features.

And apparently added new bugs...
I can't seem to join the game... it just says "No players to chase", and when I press Enter or LMB or any other key, it just changes the types of camera used.

Shotgun Arena v1.2
Information:

There is only 1 weapon available, the shotgun (not the super shotgun!). Each pellet does 10 damage, the shotgun shoots 12 pellets in total.
Headshots are possible. Headshots do 20% more damage. You have unlimited ammo. The shotguns have a pretty big knockback against enemies.

At the end of the map it will display the following stats:

Best killer (highest score),
Most damage dealt,
Most damage taken,
Most headshots,
Best accuracy.

You can also have a killing spree, when you kill 5 players in a row without dieing you enter in a killing spree. You will have a green shell around you and leave smoke trails while you walk. Every kill you make gives 2 score now.

Killing 15 players in a row without dieing gives you 3 score for each kill. You will have a yellow shell around you, you give light and you leave a fire trail while you walk.

If you're really hardcore and get a 25 killing spree you will gain 5 score for every kill you make. You will have a white shell around you and leave yellow particles while you walk.

Killing an enemy that has a spree gives you 10 score. Killing yourself while you have a spree gives you -10 score.

The ammo pack has been replaced with a jetpack that lasts 30 seconds.

If you want to spectate just type: "spectator 1", if you want to leave spectator mode you type: "spectator 0".
And that's about it, have fun.

A quick guide:

One player is chosen as the wolf and everyone else plays as sheep. The wolf can gain frags by killing anyone, but sheep can only gain frags by killing the wolf. The twist is that there is NOTHING to tell the sheep who the wolf is. They have to figure out who it is by deduction and playing defensively. If a sheep kills another sheep, he receives a huge penalty, so be careful.

Scoring goes like this:
Wolf killing sheep: 1
Sheep Killing wolf: 3
Sheep Killing sheep: -3

When you kill the wolf, you then become the wolf but don't think that the deathmessages will give you a clue. They have been changed to a generic set to prevent from giving away the wolf. Changing skins and traveling in packs is all part of the strategy. Just wait till the paranoia sets in. Mwuhahaha.
