Even in Utah, they would never attempt to draft and enforce a law that fucking stupid.

A law like that would be great for liquor stores, but it would decimate bars and the cab drivers who depend on drunks as their fare.

Yeah, I've been told we didn't win anything worthwhile after the war.

The law doesn't make much sense: the state govt's OWN records show that liqueur license owners are already doing what the law wants: to limit alcohol so people aren't always wasted. Making it a law a) insults those who already acted responsible by saying "we don't trust you anyway" & b) will just encourage people to get wasted someplace else (like home) where there are no limits/responsible servers.

1oz = a drink??? Fuck! I've been serving my dad scotch in 1/2 cup servings! 5oz of wine??? I normally serve a cup! Within an hour I'd serve so much alcohol I could be sued in that state!!

That is nuts, it won't ever happen.

Every year, you can read about these insane people trying to get these weird laws passed. There was one recently, who wanted to outlaw public cussing. If you did it, you can be written a ticket and fined. I remember one several years ago, trying to outlaw baggy pants.

Somehow these people keep getting elected?

I'm not sure that "it won't ever happen". In cities all over the US, when you told someone that one day they wouldn't be allowed to enjoy a cigarette inside a titty bar, they would've thought you were pretty retarded for suggesting such an off-the-wall thing... but look at New York City now. People now have to give up their seat at the bar and go freeze their asses off outside the door for a quick smoke. To my knowledge, all of these anti-tobacco laws got passed virtually simultaneously. In Georgia, there are no smoking sections in any restaurants anymore. The only places where you are allowed to smoke anymore are "bars" that have more drink sales than food sales, so you can smoke at strip clubs, "alcohol only" bars, and some live music venues.

Good point - but I think there is a higher percentage of people whom booze it up, rather than those that light it up? Where the public outcry would be much louder. God at least I would hope so.

The smoking change, was a surprise, but I wasn't shocked by it either. At least in most States they allowed the people to actually vote for it, so if it passed, then that is democracy for you.

Don't worry, no one would force you to wear a seat belt, tell you when you can buy booze, ban smoking, tell you that you couldn't smoke pot, put a gps in every car, track you at work, track your gas consumption through the gps, data mine all phone calls. these things are crazy and would not happen, not sure why that guy wrote 1984

Please don't even think about putting NH in the same category as VT. VT is a nice place to visit (very scenic) but way too liberal for my liking (Taxes, ect.). Also NH would have never voted for Howard Dean, christ what an idiot he is!

NH is an ok place to live! (Live Free or Die state)

We have no state income tax.
We have no sales tax.
We have lotsa guns.
We dont cling to our religions.
We have NO helmet laws (over 18)
We have no Seat Belt laws (over 18)
We can make MOST of our own decisions without our state government telling us how we should live. (even the Dems are quite conservative)

It's still kinda like America up here, yea!!!
