Anyway, I want to reformat my computer and i can't find the driver disk that came with the computer so...

When I try to reformat my computer, it says no hard drive installed on the computer...I've reformatted before with the same problem, I just dont remember how i got around it. I hit f6 to install third party drivers hoping there is another option but there doesnt seem to be...

Anyone know what I can do? thanks!

Typically one can go to the motherboard manufacturer website, and determine which driver is needed.

You can usually get the drivers directly from the mobo website, but sometimes they are old versions.  So it's also worth checking the sites of whichever company made the drivers.  (For example if you had an ASUS mobo with Intel IHC9 SATA/RAID controller, you could get a driver from the ASUS site, but the Intel site might have a later version.)

Edit: and if you're lucky the drivers will come with a way to create the floppy disk needed for the "F6" install.
